The Summer Internship

The 2025 Dallas Works Internship Program will place more than 100 students in paid internships at corporations, nonprofits, and government agencies across Dallas. Effective internships require quality placements, pre-internship training for youth and supervisors, as well as ongoing support throughout the internship. To be eligible for the internship, students must apply to and complete the Dallas Works Internship Prep Bootcamp. This year, Dallas Works will accept up to 175 students in the Internship Prep Bootcamp.

Application Process

During the pilot program in Spring/Summer 2025, Dallas Works targeted outreach at our 3 partnering education institutions: Dallas College, Dallas ISD, and UNT at Dallas. Recruitment closed during Spring Break to begin Career Ready Workshops, which are required for internship eligibility.

Only students who are participating in the Career Ready Workshops are invited to apply for the limited Internship Prep Bootcamp spots this year.

Stay tuned this summer for information about Dallas Works for 2026.

The Dallas Works Internship Prep Bootcamp is an intensive pre-internship program to ensure youth are ready to make the most of the experience.
